Located in the historic Washington Navy Yard in Southeast Washington, DC along the Anacostia River, the National Museum of the United States Navy enjoys a beautiful setting and offers convenient access to visitors.

Washington Navy Yard is a secure military facility. Please be advised that Navy Yard security protocol can change without notice and impact your visit to the Cold War Gallery. The most current information on how to visit the Navy Yard and the Cold War Gallery, including car, bus, and walk-on access, can be found on the website for the National Museum of the United States Navy.
The Cold War Gallery is open Monday through Friday from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, but is closed on weekends. The Museum is open every day except Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and New Year's Day.
